treatment
Panic disorder treatment in New York City
We treat panic attacks and panic disorder in person on the Upper West Side and online across New York and New Jersey.

A panic attack is a sudden rush of fear that hits with real physical symptoms: a racing heart, tight chest, dizziness, the sense that something is very wrong. When the fear of the next attack starts to shape your days, that's panic disorder, and it responds well to treatment.
How we treat
How we treat Panic
We work with panic using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure therapy. In CBT, you and your clinician look at the thoughts and bodily sensations that set off panic, and practice responding to them differently. Exposure therapy adds gradual, supported practice facing the situations and sensations you've been avoiding, so they lose their grip over time. Several of our clinicians focus on panic.

How we work
What to expect
You start with a first consultation, where we get to know what's been happening and answer your questions. From there, you and your clinician set a plan together, meeting in person on the Upper West Side or online anywhere in New York or New Jersey.
