Meet Our Therapists

Melissa Donovan, LCSW

Licensed Therapist

Everyone’s journey to therapy is unique. You may feel overwhelmed by the world around you. People in your life may have expressed concern over patterns in your behavior. Or, perhaps you’re bottling up feelings of anxiousness, depression, anger, loneliness, numbness, or dissatisfaction. These are all valid reasons to seek out therapy, and that is where I can help.

In our work together, I’ll provide you with a space that is safe, supportive, and understanding. We’ll determine your goals, then unpack the dynamics that feed into your current challenges. I’ll help you process difficult feelings, identify negative thoughts, and provide you with the toolkit you need to sustain your goals independently. We’ll track and assess progress to learn what works and what doesn’t.

My approach is direct, compassionate, individualized, and authentic. We’ll utilize strategies derived from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interview (MI), and Modern Attachment Theory (among others) while identifying your strengths to aid you in overcoming your obstacles and realizing your full potential.

I look forward to meeting with you!

"Part of getting to know yourself is to unknow yourself—to let go of the limiting stories you’ve told yourself about who you are so that you aren’t trapped by them, so you can live your life and not the story you’ve been telling yourself about your life."
