Meet Our Therapists

Sinead Cowins, Psy.D.

Licensed Psychologist

Therapy can be life-changing and although scary for many, it has the potential of being one of the best treatments a person can embark upon for emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing. Therapy can help one to explore themselves, their choices, and their ideals. Ultimately, it can be used as a catalyst for empowerment and self-improvement.

As a therapist, my goal is to help you achieve your best self. It is my purpose to guide you through investigating your wants and needs, the thoughts that trouble you, and the life experiences that have impacted you. With a compassionate, gentle, and sincere style, I individualize treatment to the needs of my clients. Utilizing a strength-based approach I can aid with a wide range of difficulties, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief and loss, unresolved emotional issues, the mind-body connection, self-esteem/self-empowerment, and creating meaning and purpose in life. Ensuring that I provide a safe space for exploration, is something that I place in high esteem and I believe it is essential for a healthy therapeutic relationship.

With your permission, I hope to aid you in acknowledging your purpose. I hope to help you challenge your unhelpful thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. And, I am committed to working collaboratively with you, at your pace, through the obstacles that have been in the way of your evolution.

"There are only two days in the year that nothing can be done. One is called yesterday and the other is called tomorrow, so today is the right day to love, believe, do, and mostly live."
