One of the bravest and hardest things we can do in life is face ourselves. Choosing to begin therapy means you are in a place where you may be trying to make sense of your memories, struggling to cope with painful feelings, or seeking self-reflection. It would be an honor to accompany you on your journey of healing and self-discovery.
I believe that we simultaneously exist as many different versions of ourselves. While life has nurtured and cultivated some of those versions with love and acceptance, it also forced us to cut off and disown some versions due to shame and abandonment. Therapy is a journey of reclaiming, nurturing, and embracing versions of ourselves that we may have lost over the course of life. We need to know and embrace all these selves in order to be the most authentic and full iteration of who we are.
As a therapist, I am committed to being authentic, relational, and compassionate. Therapy should be a warm, safe space for you make sense of the experiences, memories, and emotions that make up your inner world. I will always contextualize your experiences within your cultural and family systems and I do not believe in blindly pathologizing cultural practices. I prioritize facilitating an anti-oppressive, anti-racist space that takes into account social and systemic experiences that impact you. I hope that therapy provides a safe and healing space for your journey in reclaiming, accepting, and embracing who you are.

“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination.”
- Carl Rogers
I am a Licensed Psychologist in New York. I earned my doctoral degree at Pace University’s School-Clinical Child Psychology Program. I completed both my internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute of Living in Hartford, CT, where I was able to specialize in assessment and therapy across the lifespan for those with psychotic spectrum symptoms. My research interests are on the relationship between paranoid symptoms and perceived social connection, in particular with communities vulnerable to structural and systemic surveillance practices.
Across my training experiences, I have worked with children, teenagers, adults, and families from diverse groups and backgrounds. I am strongly rooted in anti-oppressive, cross-cultural approaches. I have worked in hospital settings, therapeutic schools, intensive outpatient programs, and community mental health settings. I operate primarily from a humanistic, psychodynamically-rooted and relational approach.
